
Bullies Sign Former Ivy-Leaguer

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have signed forward Sam Paolini to a contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Paolini joined the Bullies at practice this morning and will make his debut tomorrow night when the team travels to Reading to face the Royals in pre-season action.
The 23-year old Rochester, NY native was originally invited to Bullies training camp last week, but his arrival was delayed after he received an opportunity participate in training camp with Rochester of the American Hockey League.
Paolini begins his professional career after a strong four-year stay at Cornell University. Last season he finished second on the Big Red in goals scored and third in points leading Cornell to an ECAC Championship and a spot in the NCAA Frozen Four. The Big Red were also the only program in Division I hockey last year to have a perfect home record (15-0-0).
The Bullies lace up their skates for their second pre-season game of the year tomorrow night at the Sovereign Center in Reading. Game time is 7:05PM. In their pre-season opener on Tuesday, the Bullies defeated Trenton 3-2 in a shootout. Atlantic City will host their lone pre-season game on Sunday against Reading at the Red Bank Armory in Red Bank, NJ. Game time is 2:05PM and tickets are available by calling the Red Bank Armory at (732) 450-9001.
The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Boardwalk Bullies open Season Three against the Texas Wildcatters on Friday, October 17, at Boardwalk Hall.
