READING, PA – The Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Manchester Monarchs, have announced that Jeff Finger has been assigned to the club by the Colorado Avalanche via the Hershey Bears. Finger attended the Hershey Bears training camp.

Finger, a rookie out of Lauriom, Michigan, spent the last three years at St. Cloud State in Minnesota. . Prior to his three seasons at St. Cloud, Finger skated for Green Bay in the United States Hockey League. In 1999, he was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL Entry Draft in the eighth round.

Be sure to head to the Outside In Restaurant on Wednesday, October 15 for a pre home opening party with your host from ESPN radio Jed Donahue. Donahue will be hosting his show, "Speaking of Sports" LIVE from 5-7 p.m. on the Royals flagship station, ESPN Radio, 1240AM. He will feature Royals players and coach Derek Clancey, as well as, give away prizes including tickets to upcoming Royals games. The public is welcome to attend and admission is free.

The Royals face off their third season on Friday, October 17 in Trenton against the Titans. The Royals home opener is slated for Saturday, October 18 versus the expansion Texas Wildcatters.
