
Wranglers Fall 3-1 to Aces

Anchorage, Ala. - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-1 to the Alaska Aces tonight in the team's first of a three-game series this weekend.
Midway through the first, Aces forward Jordan Kremyr put Alaska on the board for a 1-0 lead. With 21 seconds left in the period, Aces forward Spencer Bennett tallied a power play goal to double the team's lead as a scoreless second period saw the Wranglers outshoot Alaska 12-5.
Five minutes into the third, Aces forward Nick Mazzolini scored to take a 3-0 lead over Las Vegas. Wranglers forward Andrew Sarauer swept a shot past Aces goaltender Mark Guggenberger eight minutes later, but the 3-1 advantage held for Alaska, giving the Aces the win and the first game of the series.
The Wranglers and Aces play two more games in Alaska this weekend before the team returns home for a three-game stretch against the San Francisco Bulls and Colorado Eagles starting Friday, March 1.
