Ontario Reign News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, have loaned forward Dan DaSilva to the Houston Aeros of the AHL for his first call-up of the season.

DaSilva, 27, has been an offensive force for the Reign this season with 42 points (15g, 27a) in just 34 games. The winger missed 21 games from January 1 through February 15 due to a lower body injury but continued his point streak upon his return. He currently sits at a 14-game point streak (9g, 12a=21pts), tying the league-lead for the season.

Prior to the Reign, the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native appeared in 15 games with Poprad Lev (KHL) during the 2011-12 season where he recorded one assist.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound veteran has played in 300 AHL games for Lowell, Albany, Lake Erie, and Worcester. Throughout his eight-year professional career he has scored 66 goals and registered 88 assists for a total of 154 points in the AHL. DaSilva has made 23 AHL post-season appearances earning 18 points (5g, 13a).

In 2005 the Colorado Avalanche signed DaSilva as a free agent.
