BUFFALO, NY - The Worcester Red Sox (2-2, 41-38) took a 4-0 loss to the Buffalo Bisons (2-2, 36-43) on Saturday night at Sahlen Field, as the WooSox were held to three singles and a walk in nine dominant innings.

Top prospect Ceddanne Rafaela, Daniel Palka, and Stephen Scott recorded Worcester's base hits, but no baserunner advanced past first base against starter Wes Parsons (6 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 9 K), MLB rehabber Zach Pop (1.2 IP, 1 BB, 3 K), and Top 10 Blue Jays prospect Hayden Juenger (1.1 IP, 1 K).

Hard-throwing WooSox lefty Cam Booser pitched on back-to-back nights for the first time in Triple-A, and tossed 1.1 shutout frames while working around a single from Otto Lopez in the seventh inning.

Including a 1-2-3 eighth on Friday night, Booser has allowed just three runs since the beginning of June (2.53 ERA) with 14 strikeouts and three walks in 10.2 innings.

WooSox starter Rio Gomez (L, 0-2) battled through 3.2 frames in his fifth Triple-A start. He managed to work around four walks in his first two innings, but a Jordan Luplow RBI double and a Luis De Los Santos two-run homer put Buffalo in front 3-0 in the third.

De Los Santos, who won Friday night's game for Buffalo with a pinch-hit, walk-off grand slam, turned on an 0-2 fastball and skied it over the center-field fence for his second home run in as many days. Gomez left the game with two outs in the fourth inning, allowing three runs on six hits with five walks and six strikeouts.

Cam Eden led off the sixth inning with a single, and eventually scored after three consecutive two-out walks to extend the lead to 4-0. Booser came on and induced a fly out from De Los Santos to leave the bases loaded.

The series continues on Sunday at Sahlen Field, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Pregame coverage will begin at 12:45 p.m. on the 98.9 NASH Icon WooSox Radio Network.

The WooSox return home to Polar Park on Tuesday, July 4 to kick off a six-game homestand with a spectacular UniBank Fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day.
