The appearances are scheduled for:

VERNACE and POSTMA will discuss the role that reading and education play in their lives as professional athletes and emphasize the importance of recreational reading. The Wolves players will also dress a child in hockey equipment, raffle Wolves prizes and sign autographs.

The "Read to Succeed" program encourages kids to take advantage of the resources that libraries have to offer and to set reading goals for themselves. Once they have achieved their goals, they will be rewarded with prizes including Wolves T-shirts, pennants and tickets to upcoming Wolves games.

The program has reached more than 500,000 kids since its inception in 1995.
