Chicago Wolves News Release
Chicago Wolves left wing and Colorado College graduate Colin Stuart and defenseman and Yale University graduate Jeff Dwyer will make appearances on Tue., March 8, as part of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, sponsored by Fisher Nuts. The program has reached nearly 350,000 children in 10 seasons, which includes more than 13,000 kids this year.
The two appearances are scheduled for:
Tue., March 8:
Colin Stuart Park Forest Public Library 400 Lakewood Blvd. 4:30 p.m.
Calumet City Public Library 660 Manistee Ave. 7 p.m.
Jeff Dwyer Acorn Public Library in Oak Forest 15624 S. Central Ave. 6:30 p.m.
The players will discuss the importance of recreational reading; dress a child in Wolves hockey gear; give away Wolves prizes; and sign autographs.
The program encourages children to spend more time reading at the library and for fun. Every participant in the program sets an individual reading goal and has the opportunity to achieve incentive prizes such as Wolves duffle bags, "Read to Succeed" beanie pucks and game tickets for reaching his or her reading goals.
The Wolves work with the DuPage, North Suburban and Metropolitan Library Systems and their participating libraries, reaching more than 30,000 kids each year. Wolves players will visit nearly 40 libraries throughout the Chicago area this season.
