Barons Announce Schedule Alterations

CLEVELAND –The Cleveland Barons announced today that two games on their 2004-05 regular season schedule have been altered. Michael T. Lehr, President of the Cleveland Barons, made the announcement.

The Barons contest against the Rochester Americans that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 23rd in Rochester will now take place on Sunday, March 20th at 5pm in HSBC Arena, the home of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. It will mark the third "alternate" site game for the Barons as the previously played Edmonton at HP Pavilion in San Jose and Syracuse at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

The Barons contest against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, March 30th has been pushed to Tuesday, March 29th at 7pm. The game will decide the season series as both teams have a 3-3-0-1 record through seven games of the eight-game series.

"From a player standpoint, competing in front of a near-capacity crowd in Buffalo is exciting and really adds a playoff-like atmosphere during our push towards the post-season," stated Lehr. "It also adds a road game a little closer to home for our fans. We expect to see a strong contingent of Barons fans in Buffalo for the game."
