January 3, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that the Chicago Wolves have recalled defenseman Jeff Dwyer to the American Hockey League.
Drafted by Atlanta in the sixth round, 178th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Dwyer was the first high school player drafted by the Thrashers.
During the 2003-2004 season, the defenseman notched 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 30 games with Yale University and ranked second amongst defensemen in goals, assists and points.
The Connecticut native joined the Chicago Wolves following the completion of his collegiate career, notching four penalty minutes in 11 games and posting a plus-one rating with Wolves.
Dwyer did not record a point for the Gladiators in two games with Gwinnett last week.
The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season on the road against the Augusta Lynx on Friday, January 7th at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties. For more information call 770-497-5100 or log on to www.gwinnettgladiators.com.
The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
