Las Vegas Beats First Place Bakersfield Twice

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 2-1-0 record for the week with both wins coming on the road in Bakersfield. The Wranglers fell to the Condors last Tuesday night 4-2 to start the week. Las Vegas rounded out the week with a 5-3 win on Friday night in Bakersfield, followed up by an 8-2 win on Saturday night at Centennial Garden.

This week, Las Vegas will open up a five-game home stand at the Orleans Arena with games on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Tuesday, the Wranglers welcome the San Diego Gulls for a 7:05 pm face-off. Friday and Saturday night Las Vegas will host Peoria at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.

Bakersfield, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated 4-2 by the Bakersfield Condors on Tuesday night. Bakersfield's Lars Pader Nagel scored a goal and added an assist in the win. Las Vegas defenseman Christian Chartier scored twice for the Wranglers.

Bakersfield, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers beat the Bakersfield Condors 5-3 on Friday night. Five different goal scorers and a four-goal first period outburst lifted Las Vegas back to .500. Las Vegas enjoyed multi-point games from five different players. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 47 saves on 50 Bakersfield shots, including 20 in the third period.

Saturday, January 1st

Las Vegas 8 at Bakersfield 2

Bakersfield, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Bakersfield Condors 8-2 in Bakersfield on Saturday night. Six different goal scorers lit the lamp for Las Vegas as the Wranglers moved one game over .500. Center Jeff Attard notched the first Wranglers hat trick of the season. Forwards Jason Spence, Billy Tibbetts and Dustin Johner each registered a goal and an assist, as the Wranglers moved into a three-way tie for fourth place in the West division with 30 points. Goalie Sebastien Centomo made 41 saves for his seventh win of the season. Johner, Jeff Attard and Chris Stanley powered the Wranglers to three power-play goals on the night. Las Vegas defenseman Mike McBain almost doubled his season total for assists with three helpers. The teams combined for 122 penalty minutes on the night, and 273 in the last two nights combined.

San Diego leads the Season Series 1-0-0

The Gulls are led by left wing Max Birbraer with eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 27 games. Right wing Sean O'Connell leads the Gulls with 12 goals in 16 games played and a +11 rating. San Diego is 6-2-2 in their last 10 games.

Peoria Rivermen – (11-13-3, 25 Points) –

Peoria leads the All-Time Series 2-0-0

The Rivermen feature former Wrangler Rejean Stringer who was traded to Peoria from Las Vegas on December 7th. The Rivermen are led in scoring by Brian McCullough's 12 goals and 13 assists in 27 games played. Peoria is 6-4-0 in their last 10 games.

Happy Birthday to the King.....

Saturday January 8th the Wranglers will celebrate Elvis Presley's birthday by giving away 1,000 Elvis sunglasses with sideburns. The team will also wear commemorative jerseys in honor of "The King". The specialty jerseys will be auctioned in a silent auction during the game.
