May 6, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Erie SeaWolves News Release

The SeaWolves and Harrisburg Senators were cut short by rain on Wednesday night at Metro Bank Park with Harrisburg taking down the ‘Wolves, 2-0 in six innings.

The only scoring in the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning. Kibler, who had tossed five scoreless, battled heavy rainfall and issued a one-out walk to Leonard Davis. With two outs, Luke Montz connected on a two-run home run, his first, giving Harrisburg a 2-0 lead.

The umpires would then call for the tarp and after an hour delay, the game would be called with the Senators getting the win.

The two clubs will now play a doubleheader on Thursday night at Metro Bank Park beginning at 5:00 p.m. Righty Alfredo Figaro (2-0, 0.96 ERA) takes the mound for the ‘Wolves in game one while lefty Ramon Garcia (1-0, 6.00 ERA) takes the mound in game two.

With an error in the bottom of the sixth, both runs given up by Kibler were unearned. He went six innings, allowing three hits with four walks and three strikeouts. Kibler drops to 0-2 on the season.
