January 13, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have teamed up with Walt Disney Pictures to promote the upcoming movie "Miracle," starring Kurt Russell. "Miracle" tells the story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, a squad comprised of college players who shocked the world by defeating the heavily favored U.S.S.R. team en route to winning the gold medal.

Fans can register on chicagowolves.com or at a Wolves home game on Sat., Jan. 17, and Sun., Jan. 18, for the chance to win a pair of tickets to attend a private pre-screening of the movie at Regal Cinemas of Lincolnshire on Tue., Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. The Wolves are giving away 50 pairs of tickets for the showing, which will be attended by some of the Wolves players.

"I think this is one of those events that most Americans remember where they were and what they were doing," said Adam Fox, Wolves Executive Vice President of Business Operations. "The Wolves are excited to have the opportunity to partner with Disney and have the chance to help people relive that moment of national glory and promote the sport."

The team also will be giving away several prize packages which include six Disney videos, a "Miracle" water bottle and four passes to attend a separate special pre-screening during lucky seat promotions at home games on Wed., Jan. 14; Sat., Jan. 17 and Sun., Jan. 18.

Three to five Wolves fans will be randomly pre-selected by Disney for the opportunity to attempt a shot on goal from center ice during the first intermission of the Wolves game on Sun., Jan. 18. Winners will receive a prize pack that includes Disney videos, a "Miracle" water bottle, screening passes and Wolves gear.
