Aeros will put V-Day cards on sale Friday
January 13, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Houston Aeros News Release
Houston, TX â The Houston Aeros announced Tuesday that they will sell a LIMITED number of Aeros Valentine's Day Cards at Friday's 7 p.m. game versus arch-rival San Antonio. The game will also feature an appearance by the newest member of the Houston Astros, future Hall of Famer Roger Clemens.
Two hundred (200) sets of 12 Valentine's Day cards will be on sale for $8 at merchandise stands. The high-quality cards, designed by Aeros art director David Irias, feature an Aeros player and a hockey-related Valentine's saying. Mascot Chilly is also featured on a card.
"This is a unique promotion that we are expecting great results from," said Aeros vice president of communications and marketing Sandy Kirk. "They are great for both our die-hard fans and our casual fans. Plus, the Boy Scouts will be at Toyota Center, and these cards are reminiscent of those schoolchildren send to their classmates."
Following Friday's game, the Aeros hit the road for four games before returning home Saturday, Jan. 24, versus Syracuse. That night is Johan Holmqvist Bobblehead Night. The first 3,000 fans will receive a bobblehead.
