Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (14-18-2-0, 30 pts., .441 pts. percentage) ended calendar year 2015 on a high note, dispatching the Portland Pirates by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday, but then dropped a pair of home games to begin 2016. The Pack broke out to a 2-0 first-period lead vs. Albany on Saturday, but then the Devils scored four straight goals on the way to a 4-3 win. A Wolf Pack comeback bid fell short on Sunday, as Hartford battled back from a 3-0 deficit against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, but only could get the score as close as 3-2. Wolf Pack points leader Chad Nehring (12-11-23) scored in all three games, stretching a goal streak to a team season-high four games (4-1-5), and goaltender Jeff Malcolm extended a shutout streak to 167:32 before giving up a pair of goals in the third period of Tuesday's game.

This week:

The Wolf Pack complete a six-game homestand with three home games this weekend. The Springfield Falcons visit the XL Center on Friday night for a 7:15 PM game, and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers invade on Saturday (7:00), as the Wolf Pack "Red Out" the rink with a red t-shirt giveaway to the first 5,000 fans, sponsored by CT-DOT. The Albany Devils then return to complete the weekend on Sunday, that being a 3:00 faceoff.

- The Falcons are 13-18-1-1 on the year, for 28 points and a .424 points percentage, and are eighth in the Atlantic Division.
