Panthers Assign Brickley to Portland

Portland, ME - Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon today announced the reassignment of forward Connor Brickley to the Portland Pirates.

Brickley, a 6-foot-1, 195 pound left wing from Everett, Massachusetts, recorded five points (1-4-5) in 23 games with Florida this season. In six games with the Pirates, Brickley has recorded three points (1-2-3) this season.

Chosen by Florida in the Second Round (50th Overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Brickley scored 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points in 73 games during his rookie year last season with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. He also added a goal and an assist in three Calder Cup Playoff games.

Brickley made his pro debut at the end of the 2013-14 season, playing eight games with San Antonio, scoring a goal and adding an assist for two points. Before turning pro, Brickley played four seasons of NCAA Division I Men's Hockey for the University of Vermont Catamounts.

Brickley will be eligible for the Pirates against the St. John's IceCaps in the opening game of the Port-to-Port Challenge presented by Eimskip this weekend.

The Pirates return home to the Cross Insurance Arena on January 15. Friday night is Barry Trotz Bobblehead Night, presented by Cross Insurance Arena, as the Pirates host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7 p.m. The first thousand fans through the gates will get one collectable Barry Trotz bobblehead, the second of three Pirates NHL Greats Bobbleheads to be given away this season.
