Sound Tigers Sign Cullity to PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that defenseman Patrick Cullity has been signed to a professional try out.

The New York Islanders announced that defenseman Matt Finn has been reassigned from the Sound Tigers to the Missouri Mavericks (ECHL) while forward Carter Verhaeghe has been reassigned from Missouri to Bridgeport.

The Sound Tigers also announced that Colin Markison has been recalled from loan to Missouri while both Josh Holmstrom and Jesse Root have been returned on loan to the Mavericks.

Cullity, 28, signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers prior to the start of the season before being released on October 20 and sent to Missouri. In 27 games with the Mavericks, Cullity has one goal and five assists for six points and leads the league in +/- at +21.

The 6-foot-2, 210 pound blueliner has 78 games of American Hockey League experience, most recently spending three games last season with the Springfield Falcons. Prior to playing professionally, Cullity spent four years at the University of Vermont, serving as an alternate captain his senior year.
