HARTFORD, Conn. - Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has signed forward Tyler Donati to an American Hockey League contract.

Donati, who is entering his fourth pro season, is the defending ECHL point-scoring champion and MVP, having rolled up 38 goals and 76 assists for 114 points in 67 games last year with the Elmira Jackals. That was after the 5-10, 180-pound Oakville, Ontario native started the season with Thurgau of the Swiss B league, going scoreless in three games.

Donati, 24, has previous AHL experience with the Binghamton Senators, for whom he played 53 games during the 2007-08 season, notching six goals and 12 assists for 18 points, along with 26 penalty minutes, and the Philadelphia Phantoms (four games in 2008-09, one assist). In 87 career ECHL contests over three seasons with Elmira, Donati has totaled 44 goals and 93 assists for 137 points.

Prior to turning pro, Donati enjoyed a stellar career in the Ontario Hockey League. In 252 total OHL contests from 2003-04 through 2006-07, with Oshawa, Toronto St. Michael's and Belleville, he registered 131 goals and 169 assists for 300 points.
