Wizards Release 2009-10 NBA D-League Schedule

[BISMARCK, ND] Aug. 13, 2009 - The Wizards open their 2009-10 season in the NBA Development League Saturday, November 28 at 7 p.m. when they host the Maine Red Claws in their D-League debut at the Bismarck Civic Center.
The opening night contest is the first of 50 regular season games for the Wizards, 24 of which will take place at the Bismarck Civic Center, including 13 falling on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Dakota will also take part in the 2010 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from January 4-7 in Boise, Idaho.
"We'll be celebrating our 15th Anniversary in Bismarck so we have a lot of new and exciting things planned," according to General Manager Terri Benson. "Each game we'll have a prize worth at least $500 as well as other things celebrating our 15th year in this great community, so it'll be a fun season."
Also highlighting the 2009-10 NBA D-League Schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which is part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2010 in Dallas.
Fans can purchase season ticket packages for Wizards games at the Civic Center now by calling 258-2255 or logging onto dakotawizards.com. Season ticket packages are available for as low as $99 for all 24 home games.
"With our 15th anniversary season, we're pulling out all of the stops," Benson said. "The Wizards have always been affordable, but this will be the most fun we've had in a long time!"
Also, for the first time, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West, for the 2009-10 season. The Eastern Conference will consist of the Dakota Wizards, Erie BayHawks, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Springfield Armor, while the Western Conference includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Idaho Stampede, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Tulsa 66ers and Utah Flash.
