Skyforce Announces 2009-10 Schedule

Sioux Falls, S.D. (August 13, 2009) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce begins their 21st season on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. CST when they host the expansion Maine Red Claws at the Sioux Falls Arena.

The Skyforce-Red Claws contest is the first of 50 regular season games for Sioux Falls, 24 of which will take place at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Skyforce will play 24 road games and will also play two games at the 2010 NBA D-League Showcase from Jan. 4-7 at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Sioux Falls plays 17 of its 24 home games on Friday or Saturday, including the annual Christmas Night game on Friday, Dec. 25 against the expansion Springfield Armor. Fans will see 11 different visiting teams take the court at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Also highlighting the 2009-10 NBA D-League schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which will be part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2010 in Dallas.

For the first time, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West, for the 2009-10 season with the Red Claws and Armor joining the Eastern Conference. The Eastern Conference will consist of the Dakota Wizards, Erie BayHawks, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Springfield Armor, while the Western Conference includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, Idaho Stampede, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Tulsa 66ers and Utah Flash.

Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs are on sale for the 2009-10 season. Discounts and benefits are also available for groups of 10 or more. Single game tickets will go on sale in early November.
