Warriors Re-Assign Wright

Bismarck, N.D. (April 10, 2012) - The Dakota Wizards announced today the re-assignment of rookie forward Chris Wright from the Golden State Warriors, the Wizards' NBA affiliate. The assignment marks the 65th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and is the third for Wright this season.

Wright makes his return to Dakota, having appeared in nine games during his previous two assignments, averaging 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 blocks in 29.0 minutes per game. He will join the team today and be in uniform when the team opens their NBA D-League playoff series on Thursday, April 12 against the Bakersfield Jam.

Wright, who was signed as a free agent on December 12, 2011, has appeared in 19 games for the Warriors this season, averaging 2.1 points and 1.0 rebound in 4.8 minutes. He was the third overall pick of the Maine Red Claws in the 2011 NBA D-League Draft and averaged 17.0 points and 10.8 rebounds in four games with the Red Claws.

The current roster stands at 11 players.

Season ticket holders and sponsors can purchase playoff tickets until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 by contacting the Dakota Wizards office at (701) 258-2255. Tickets will be made available to the public thru the Civic Center Box Office on Thursday, April, 12 at 11:30 a.m.
