
Tulsa's Jerome Dyson Signs with New Orleans Hornets

NEW YORK, April 10, 2012 - The New Orleans Hornets today signed Tulsa 66ers guard Jerome Dyson for the record 51st GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Dyson joins more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
Dyson (6-3, 180, Connecticut) appeared in 44 games, all starts, for the 66ers this season, averaging 17.8 points, 3.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 34.0 minutes. The 2012 NBA D-League All-Star scored in double figures 40 times, including two outings scoring 30 or more points.
A two-year NBA D-League veteran, Dyson has appeared in 91 career NBA D-League games, averaging 16.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 30.4 minutes per game.
Dyson is expected to join the Hornets today and be available when the team hosts the Sacramento Kings tomorrow.
