TULSA, Okla., April 10, 2012 - The New Orleans Hornets announced today they have signed guard Jerome Dyson of the Tulsa 66ers. Dyson becomes the third GATORADE Call-Up of the season for Tulsa.
Playing in his second campaign with the 66ers this past season, Dyson averaged 17.8 points, 3.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 44 games (all starts). In 2010-11, he averaged 15.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 47 games (10 starts).
Dyson, a 2012 NBA D-League All-Star, participated in training camp with the Hornets last December. He appeared in one preseason game with the Hornets on Dec. 21 against the Memphis Grizzlies and recorded five points, one rebound and one assist in seven minutes of action.
