Winnipeg Jets Jets Recall Julian Melchiori from IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled defenceman Julian Melchiori from the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. The Winnipeg Jets also announced they have placed defenceman Mark Stuart on the Injured Reserve List retroactive to Oct. 29/13.

Melchiori, 21, has played in 10 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, he has recorded 14 penalty minutes. The Richmond Hill, ON native has played in 63 career AHL games, all with St. John's, for eight career points (1G, 7A) and 53 career penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the third round, 87th overall, in the 2010 NHL Draft.
