Syracuse Crunch Players to Participate in Movember Mustache Challenge

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch and Upstate University Hospital are teaming up to present a Movember Mustache challenge to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and other men's health issues.

Throughout the month of November, aka Movember, Syracuse Crunch players will be growing mustaches to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men's health issues. The Crunch website, Facebook and YouTube channel will chronicle the mustache growth throughout the month.

The Movember Mustache challenge is a fundraising initiative and best mustache competition among Syracuse Crunch players. The Crunch have been split into two teams and will compete to raise the most funds throughout the month of November. Joey Mormina will lead Mo's Bros against Eric Neilson's M&M's. At each home game during the month of Movember there will be a table that displays photos of each team. Fans should vote for the best mustache team by making a donation into that team's collection can. Fans can also make donations online at www.syracusecrunch.com. The team that has collected the most donations at the end of the month will be declared the winner. All donations will benefit the Upstate Cancer Center.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from of all tickets purchased for the November 29 game against the St. John's IceCaps using the code "stache" will benefit the Upstate Cancer Center. The first 2,000 fans in attendance on November 29 will receive a stick-on mustache courtesy of Upstate University Hospital.
