CONEY ISLAND, NY - Evan Lee led the Wilmington Blue Rocks pitching staff to a one-hit shutout as the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, dropped a 6-0 decision Thursday night in game two of the series at Maimonides Park.
Win: Lee (2-3) | Loss: Ginn (1-3)
KEY PLAYS
Washington's No. 24 prospect Evan Lee allowed one hit and one walk over six scoreless innings in the victory. The southpaw struck out seven and faced the minimum over the first five innings.
Wilmington took a 1-0 lead against Brooklyn on Drew Mendoza's RBI single, scoring Yasel Antuna from third base who had doubled to begin the inning. The Blue Rocks added five runs across the eighth and the ninth to put the game away. Drew Millas and Ricardo Mendez each had three hits.
Cyclones righty J.T. Ginn, the Mets No. 2 pitching prospect, surrendered one run on seven hits in the tough-luck loss, striking out two.

Brooklyn and Wilmington will play a five-game series after Wednesday's game was cancelled. The Cyclones are on pace for a 118-game season.
J.T. Ginn has allowed five earned runs over his past three starts, covering 16 2/3 innings -- a 2.70 ERA.
The series is tied at one game apiece heading into the final three games of the weekend.
