The Snapper's bullpen had a night to forget as they gave up five runs in the eighth giving Kane County the 6-5 lead.
Ramon Santana led off the Snappers rally as he singled to left to kick start the offense. With one out Nate Hanson singled to put runners on the corner. Michael Harrington would reach on a fielder's choice as Santana was thrown out at home for the second out. Lanning stepped up again and delivered the tying run with a single to right that scored Hanson to knot the game at six apiece. Adan Severino would pinch run for Harrington at second. Drew Thompson slapped a single to right center field to score the speedy Severino to give the Snappers the one run advantage. Angel Morales delivered the biggest blow of the game as he knocked in both Lanning and Thompson with a single to center giving the Snappers the three run advantage.
