
LHP Buddy Boshers headed to DL

August 21, 2009 - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce that LHP Buddy Boshers has been placed on the 7-day disabled list, retroactive to August 19th, with a left shoulder strain. Abe Flores, Director of Player Development for the LA Angels, announced the move on Friday.
Boshers has started six games for the Kernels, with a 3-1 record and 5.97 ERA. In 31.2 IP, he allowed 31 hits and 21 runs (all earned) with seven walks against 27 strikeouts. He last pitched on August 18 in Clinton and picked up the win, but was lifted at the start of the sixth inning.
No corresponding move was made to take Boshers' place on the roster. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at 24 active players with five on the disabled list.
