
Wild Things Crushed at Lake Erie

Washington Wild Things News Release
Avon, OH - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, were shut out at All Pro Freight Stadium in Ohio Saturday Night. Lake Erie blanked Washington 7-0.
Luis Rivera, Ryan Ditthardt and Drew Rossi had the only hits of the night for the Wild Things.
Starting pitcher Gary Lee (1-3) took the loss, allowing seven runs on ten hits and three walks. Ross Gusky and Mark Williams pitched in releif.
The Crushers dominated the game, starting in the first inning with a Kellen Kulbacki triple. The Crushers' Kyle Shaffer doubled and Jason Taylor crossed home plate to score.
Evan Sharpley, Jodam Rivera, Chris Luick and Patrick Norris also contributed to the Crushers' win. By the sixth inning the Crushers were ahead 7-0 where the score remained until the end of the game.
The Wild Things face off against the Crushers again Sunday when first pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. Airtime on WJPA 1450 AM is 4:55. Washington returns home on Tuesday, August 2nd, for a three-game series against the Evansville Otters.
