River City Rascals News Release

Evansville, Ind. - Josh Lowey shut down the Otters after the third, pitching 7 1/3 innings for his sixth win as the Rascals dug out of a 2-0 hole for a 6-3 win. River City (47-16) trailed after the first but made it a one-run game on a Bobby Burk homerun, his 12th, to cut the deficit to 2-1. After an unearned run came across in the third to make it 3-1 Evansville (23-41), the Rascals took advantage of Evansville miscues, scoring five runs on three hits to take the 6-3 lead. Lowey pitched into the eighth, leaving with runners at second and third with one out, but Miramontes struck out the final two batters and pitched a scoreless ninth for his 12th save. The Rascals play a scheduled double-header tomorrow, playing two seven inning games, with first pitch in game one set for 4:35.
