Whitecaps Offer 99-Cent Ticket Special on Monday, August 2
July 28, 2010 - Midwest League (MWL1)
West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI -- Following on the heels of the popular ten-cent hot dog sale on July 12, the West Michigan Whitecaps are offering another outrageous deal for fans: a 99-cent reserved seat ticket special on Monday, August 2. That's a discount of $8.51 per ticket!
The special one-time only ticket promotion is an extension of the Whitecaps All Faiths Night. Fans normally receive half price tickets for Monday games when they bring a church or community bulletin to the box office on the day of the game, but on Monday, August 2, any fan who brings a bulletin to the box office will be able to purchase reserved tickets for just 99 cents.
This is the first time in team history that tickets have been widely available to the general public for as low as 99 cents. As part of the All Faiths Night promotion, any fan who brings either a church bulletin or a community bulletin of any kind, from any community, is eligible.
Whitecaps president Scott Lane said this promotion is just one more way for the Whitecaps to thank the community for their support.
"Coming to a Whitecaps game is already one of the cheapest family entertainment options you can find, with ticket prices starting at just $5 for lawn seats," Lane said. "But we understand that these are tough economic times, and many families are on very tight budgets. This 99-cent ticket special makes it possible for anyone, on any budget, to enjoy a Whitecaps game, simply by showing their church or community bulletin on Monday. We appreciate the support of the community and we're happy that we can give back to the fans with these types of special promotions."
The special 99-cent reserved seat tickets may only be purchased on the day of the game at the box office, which opens at 10 a.m. A maximum of eight 99-cent tickets may be purchased per person.
The Whitecaps return home to begin a seven-game homestand on Saturday, July 31 with a 7 p.m. game against the Dayton Dragons that will include post-game fireworks presented by Farm Bureau Insurance. Other highlights of the homestand include:
