Wheeling Nailers News Release
The Wheeling Nailers picked up an important win on the road last night in defeating Johnstown 8-5. It was the Nailers' third straight win over the Chiefs, and it left the two teams locked in a second place tie in the North Division, along with Cincinnati and Elmira, with 71 points apiece.
Wheeling and Johnstown square off again today at 4:05 p.m. at WesBanco Arena, where the Nailers will be looking to extend their winning streak over the Chiefs to four games.
Today is Kids Day at WesBanco Arena, where all kids get free admission to the game when accompanied by a parent that purchases a ticket at regular price. Coupons for the free kids admission can be picked up at the Nailers office or at wheelingnailers.com. Today is also Sunday Family Funday, where fans can join the nailers in a postgame skate. Fans participating should bring their own skates and gloves to participate.
The Nailers have a big home stand March 20-22 as they team up with the American Cancer Society for Relay at the Rink. The Nailers will wear special purple jerseys which will be auctioned off on Saturday. On Friday, March 20 against the Dayton Bombers is Buy One Get One Free Night. All tickets, popcorn, hotdogs and pretzels buy one get one free.
Saturday, March 21 versus the Reading Royals is B.E. Taylor Bobble Head Night. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a B.E. Taylor bobble head courtesy of OVMC and WTRF. Taylor will also be on hand and play live following the game.
Sunday, March 22 is Pups and Pucks Day, where fans can bring their dog to the game against the Reading Royals. Log on to wheelingnailers.com for details on all upcoming promotions.
