Idaho Steelheads News Release

The Idaho Steelheads (36-20-4) were shutout for only the third time this season after Saturday night's 3-0 loss to the Las Vegas Wranglers (29-26-8) in front of 6,269 fans at Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas scored once in each period to secure the win. Kelly Czuy got things going at 1:59 of the opening period, and the Wranglers never looked back. Peter Ferraro scored in the second period, and Justin Taylor added an empty-netter in the third.

Rejean Beauchemin suffered the loss, as his record falls to 14-9-3; he stopped 22 of 24 Las Vegas shots. Glenn Fisher was perfect, stopping all 36 Steelheads shots to improve to 9-5-2 for Las Vegas.

Prior to tonight's game, the Steelheads discovered they would be receiving Bryan McGregor back from his loan to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. McGregor flew all day and met up with the Steelheads during warm-ups, returning for this evening's affair.

The Steelheads are back in action Sunday in Utah to take on the Grizzlies. The puck drops at 5:05 Mountain Time.
