NEWS & NOTES:

Battle with the Blades: The Wheat Kings ran into a brick wall last Wednesday when the Regina Pats defeated the Wheat Kings 3-1. Despite the score the Wheat Kings out shot the Pats 52-27. Tonight the Wheat Kings host the Saskatoon Blades, a club they haven't faced since the regular season finale last season. The Blades defeated the Wheat Kings 2-1 that evening.

All Mantioba, All the Time: 11 Total players in this game are from Manitoba.

BC Bound: This will be the final home game until October 28th as the Wheat Kings prepare for their British Columbia Road Trip this weekend.

Game #100: 2002 born forward Calder Anderson could play his 100th WHL game Friday night. Anderson was a healthy scratch in favor of Riley Ginnel who slotted in as the 3rd 2002 born forward in last Wednesday's loss to the Regina Pats.
