Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced that second-year centre Michael Whaley has been dealt to the Plymouth Whalers.

In exchange, the Spits will receive Plymouth's 13th round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.

"We're sorry to see Michael go," said Warren Rychel. "But it's a great opportunity for him to get more playing time in Plymouth. We wish him all the best in his career."

Whaley, a 17-year-old from London, Ontario played parts of two seasons with the Spitfires.

In 65 career games, he scored two goals and added 10 assists - including a goal and an assist this season.
