Gottzmann Traded to Peterborough

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that they have acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection from the Peterborough Petes in exchange for center Jeremy Gottzmann. The announcement was made by Otters general manager Sherwood Bassin.

Gottzmann appeared in 97 games for the Otters, tallying five goals and 11 assists. The native of Burlington, Ont. was originally selected in the second round with the 28th overall pick by the Erie Otters in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.

The Otters head on the road to take on the Niagara IceDogs Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. They will return home for a $5 Friday to host the Barrie Colts at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. the London Knights come into town for Cowbell Night presented by Hungry Howie's Pizza and a post-game concert featuring The O'Needers presented by Erie General Electric Credit Union.
