Colts And Whalers Complete Deal

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announced that they have completed a trade with the Plymouth Whalers.

Barrie has sent 17-year old forward Cory Czarnik to the Whalers in exchange for a 12th round pick in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Czarnik was selected by Barrie in the 11th round, 208th overall in the 2009 OHL Draft but did not play a game for the Colts.

The center played for the Detroit Belle Tire Under-16's when he was drafted by Barrie and will now join his brother Robbie Czarnik with the Plymouth Whalers.

This marks the fourth trade the Colts have completed in the last two days, with the Ontario Hockey League trade deadline today at 12:00 p.m.
