Four Generals Listed in NHL's Mid-Term Rankings

Toronto, ON - NHL Central Scouting today announced their mid-term rankings of players eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft which included four members of the Oshawa Generals.

The mid-term rankings are split into different groups with North American Skaters, North American Goalies, European Skaters, and European Goalies making up the four categories.

Oshawa Generals centre Boone Jenner was ranked 18th, Right Winger Nicklas Jensen was ranked 20th, Left Winger Lucas Lessio was ranked 44th, and Defenceman Colin Suellentrop was ranked 117th among North American Skaters.

Jenner, was the runner-up for last year's OHL Rookie of the Year award after posting 19 goals, 30 assists for 49 points in 65 games for the Generals. This year he is serving as one of the teams Alternate Captains and currently has 11 goals, 23 assists for 34 points in 35 games this season.

Jensen, was selected by the Generals with the 8th overall selection in the 2010 CHL Import Draft this past summer. The Herning, Denmark native has scored 18 goals and 16 assists for 34 points in 32 games so far this season.

Lessio, was acquired by the Generals in September 2009 and joined the team in July 2010. The Maple, Ontario native has posted 16 goals, 17 assists for 33 points in 39 games this season.

Suellentrop, is in his second season with the Generals and was originally their 3rd round selection in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection. The Plantation, Florida native has 9 assists along with 50 penalty minutes in 38 games so far this season.

Also of note, former Generals 2nd round selection in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, Tyler Biggs was ranked 5th among North American Skaters. Biggs currently plays for the U.S. Under-18 Development Program.

Jenner, Jensen and Lessio will compete in the upcoming 2011 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game which will take place January 18th-19th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

The 2011 NHL Entry Draft will take place June 24th and 25th at the Excel Energy Centre in St. Paul, Minnesota
