ABOUT THE GREENJACKETS: The GreenJackets are 14-23 in the second half and sit 7.5 games behind the Greenville Drive for first place in the second half Southern Division standings. Augusta has struggled as the Giants have called up or traded their top three starters throughout the second half, Joey Marciano, Jason Bahr and John Gavin. The trio chewed up 244 innings and recorded a 2.43 ERA in 48 games. They are also missing reliever Frank Rubio, who locked down 10 saves in 11 opportunities and recorded a 1.55 ERA in 17 outings before being sent to Class A-Advanced San Jose. As a team, Augusta is tied with Columbia for the worst batting average in the South Atlantic League at .238.
