SALISBURY, MD - After continued success throughout the entire month of July, LHP DL Hall received Orioles Minor League Pitcher of the Month for July. Hall is no stranger to accolades during the summer after repeating as South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for the weeks of July 2-8 and 9-15.
The 19-year-old phenom picked up his first two wins as a Shorebird during the month of July, posting an electric 0.67 ERA and striking out 39 batters in five starts during the month. For the season Hall has a team-leading 2.27 ERA among starters and struck out 81 batters in his 75.1 innings pitched this season over 18 appearances (16 starts).
Hall also sizzled with a 15.2-inning scoreless streak dating back to his June 30 start at Lakewood that ended on July 16. Hall also had not given up an earned run over 22.2 innings since June 15 that was snapped on July 26. The Orioles drafted Hall 21st overall out of Valdosta High School (Ga.) in the 2017 MLB Draft. He currently ranks asBaltimore's No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline.
Hall joins LHP Zac Lowther and RHP Matthias Dietz as the third Shorebird to snag the award this season.
