POWER REPLAY: West Virginia dropped both games of a doubleheader at Hagerstown, losing 9-5 and 5-0. The Power led the first game 5-2 after two innings, but surrendered five in the third en route to the loss. In the second game, the Suns plated four against the Power bullpen in the fifth to secure the sweep. West Virginia was limited to four hits in the nightcap, including two by Andy Vasquez.

TWO MUCH FUN: The Power are now 5-7 on doubleheader days this season after Saturday's twinbill. West Virginia swept two from Savannah on April 10, took both games against Greensboro on May 2, and split a doubleheader at Lexington on May 18. The club has also been swept three times, having lost both games of a doubleheader on April 23 at Kannapolis in walk-off fashion, leading 7-6 going in the last half inning and falling 8-7 in both games, losing twice at Greensboro on May 14, and twice yesterday.

TRIPLE THREAT: Andy Vasquez's triple in game one on Saturday gives him seven for the season, tops in the SAL so far. Vasquez's total has put him one behind Alcides Escobar, Hernan Iribarren, and Lee Haydel for the second-most three base hits in a season. Quincy Latimore holds the single season record with 10 during the 2009 campaign.

STREAKING: Two Power players were riding eight-game hitting streaks into Thursday night's game at Hagerstown, but only one was extended. Justin Howard went 1-2 and is batting .323 during his nine-game hitting streak, matching Matt Curry and Drew Maggi for the longest hitting streak by any Power player this season. Maggi had his eight-game hitting streak stopped Thursday with an 0-4 performance.

ECLIPSED: After the three Suns win this set, the all-time series between West Virginia and Hagerstown is now in their favor. Hagertsown has secured a season-series win between the teams with six wins over eight games with one game to go. The Power trail on the road in this all-time series with 24 wins and 31 losses at Municipal Stadium since 2005.

SCOUTING THE SUNS: Hagerstown finished the first half of the 2011 season 40-30 and a game back of Hickory in the Northern Division after having led most of the first half. On July 4, SAL All-Star Bryce Harper was promoted to Double-A. Harper's statistics currently place him fifth in the league in average, first in on-base percentage, and tied for sixth in home runs, but he is currently plying his traits for the Harrisburg Senators.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Power will open a seven game homestand on Tuesday night with Hickory coming to town for four games and the Charleston River Dogs coming in next weekend to play three. The River Dogs have not played in Charleston, WV since the tail end of July during the 2009 season.

HOME RUN HISTORY: Rogelio Noris has 22 career home runs for West Virginia over a season and a half in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Kenny Holmberg's two-year total for second most in club history. Stephen Chapman hit 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007, the most in any season for West Virginia, and also the most in any player's Power career.

POWER POINTS: Dan Grovatt has a six-game hitting streak entering play today and has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games...

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh fell 6-3 to the Cubs at PNC Park... Indianapolis blanked Louisville 2-0... Altoona dropped a 12-10 final to Bowie in 12 innings... Bradenton split a twinbill with Lakeland, winning 6-2 and losing 5-4... State College 9-3 to Batavia.

Adam Marco will call the action for each of the 70 home games this season, while the home team will provide coverage while the Power are on the road.
