Weather Throws Baysox A Curve

(Bowie, MD) - Friday night's game between the Baysox and the Altoona Curve has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up Saturday night as a doubleheader, the first game will start at 6:05 p.m. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Gates will open at 5:30 and both games will be seven inning games.

RHP Chorye Spoone (2-3, 5.04 ERA) will start the first game for the Baysox, he will go up against Curve RHP Josh Hill (4-8, 4.58 ERA). Bowie will go with LHP Rommie Lewis (0-4, 3.19 ERA) in game two and he will face Altoona LHP Kyle Bloom (0-4, 5.48 ERA).

The Baysox won't just double the baseball Saturday, they'll double the fun! The Baysox All-American Girls Professional Baseball League Tribute Night celebration will go on as scheduled Saturday night. In addition, Friday's Soap Opera Night festivities will be held during Saturday's games as well. All My Children's Walt Willey will be back at Prince George's Stadium to sign autographs on the concourse during the games. Women's Weekend will conclude with Pink In The Park Day, a women's cancer awareness event, during Sunday's 6:05 p.m. series finale.

The Bowie Baysox are in their 16th season as the "AA" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Baysox individual game tickets, season ticket plans, group outings, picnics and birthday parties are currently available for booking by calling the Baysox front office at (301) 464-4880.
