Watson named to All Star Roster

Oklahoma City - Oklahoma City Blazers forward Ryan Watson was to the Central Hockey League's Northern Conference All Star roster, the Blazers front office announced today.

The 6-3, 200-pounder from Lethbridge, Alberta, is making his first appearance in an all star game at the professional level. For the season, the 26-year old is second on the Blazers club in scoring with 29 (9-20-29) points and is second with 20 assists.

Watson joins defenseman Mike Burgoyne as Blazers representatives on the Northern Conference All Star team.

The remaining CHL All Star roster spots for the Northern Conference were made by Northern Conference coach Tracy Egeland of the Rocky Mountain Rage and Southern Conference coach Marco Pietroniro of the Arizona Sundogs.

The 2008 CHL All-Star Game will be played January 16 at the Broomfield Event Center in Broomfield, Colo. Ticket packages are available by contacting the office of the Rocky Mountain Rage.

The Blazers skate in their final game of the calendar year tomorrow evening at home against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:35 p.m.
