
Warriors Get Their Revenge on New Year's Eve

BRANDON M.B. - The Moose Jaw Warriors raid Westoba Place and spoil the Wheat Kings New Years Eve Party winning 6-2 Saturday night.
The game didn't start well for the Wheat Kings with Warriors forward and Seattle Kraken prospect Jagger Firkus scoring a pair of goals to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes. The Wheat Kings also had a season low 3 shots on goal in the first frame.
In the second the Warriors scored 3 more goals courtesy of Ryder Korczak and Atley Calvert on the powerplay and then Eric Alarie would add one late to make it 5-0 Warriors. This would end Carson Bjarnason's night for the Wheat Kings who would be replaced by Nick Jones.
The Wheat Kings got goals from Nate Danielson in the final minutes of the second period and then Luke Shipley early in the third but the comeback would stop with Harper Lolacher scoring the sixth goal of the night for the Warriors giving them a 6-2 win.

The Wheat Kings are back in action Wednesday night when they host the Regina Pats. It's also Student Night in Westoba Place where all kids have discounted rates to get into the game and discounted food and drink specials are available. Puck drop at 7pm.
