
Cougars Fall 4-2 in Kamloops to Start Second Half

KAMLOOPS, BC - The Prince George Cougars dropped their first game of the second half in a 4-2 decision to the Kamloops Blazers, Friday at the Sandman Centre.
The Blazers jumped to a 2-0 lead in the late minutes of the opening period. Daylan Kuefler started the scoring with a power-play marker, and then Dylan Sydor shovelled one by Ty Young less than three minutes later to go up a pair after 20 minutes.
In the second, PG put together a terrific period and got rewarded with a pretty power-play goal that was ripped home by Ethan Samson. The Cougars registered 14 shots in the second, however, remained down a goal after 40 minutes.
Kamloops re-gained their two-goal lead with another power-play goal. Dylan Sydor scored his second of the evening to make it 3-1 Blazers. In the final minutes, Cole Dubinsky scored a fantastic goal in tight to get Prince George within one. The Blazers, however, sealed the deal in the final 10 seconds with Kyle Masters firing the puck the length of the ice into the empty net to make it a 4-2 Blazer victory.
