The Prince Albert Raiders have completed a trade with the Winnipeg ICE, acquiring 17-year-old rookie center Aiden Oiring and two third round picks in exchange for Carson Latimer.

Oiring was a third round selection in the 2020 WHL Entry Draft by the ICE. This season, he has played in 26 regular season games with the ICE, tallying five goals and three assists for eight points.

Last season, Oiring was a member of the South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 team that won the Mac's Tournament in Calgary. In 32 games with the team, Oiring amassed 50 points (21G-29A). In an impressive season before COVID in 2019-20, Oiring tallied 73 points (28G-45A) in 32 games with the Calgary Royals U15AAA team.

"Aiden is a highly competitive and skilled center," Raiders general manager Curtis Hunt said. "He is a player that we have watched closely, and we are excited to get him in the fold."

Latimer played 75 regular season games in a Raider jersey, plus five more games in the playoffs last season. The winger tallied 60 points (22G-38A) in those 75 games, and added an assist in the playoffs.

"We thank Carson for his time in Prince Albert and wish him the best of luck in Winnipeg," Hunt added.
