Warriors Add Two American Prospects in Wednesday's U.S. Priority Draft

Moose Jaw, SK - The Moose Jaw Warriors added two more American prospects through the 2024 WHL U.S. Priority Draft on Wednesday.

The Warriors used their first round selection, 18th overall, on Quincy, WA product Mathieu Bowerman.

The five-foot-10, 172-pound defenceman had five goals, nine points and 26 penalty minutes in eight games with the Wenatchee Wild 14U AAA team.

In the second round, the Warriors added a forward, picking Edina, MN product Gage Beveridge with the 40th overall pick.

Beveridge, a five-foot-seven and 146-pound left winger, played for the Okanagan Hockey Academy (Colorado) 14U team, scoring 13 goals and 19 points in 17 games.

The Warriors will now get set for the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft, which gets underway on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. MT.
