Walleye Sign Forward Derek Brochu

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Derek Brochu (broh-shoo). The forward is expected to play tonight for Toledo against Wheeling.

Brochu, a native of Welland, Ontario, just finished his college career at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. The 24-year-old forward appeared in 111 games over four seasons for the Badgers, totaling 35 goals and 42 assists. Prior to his college career, Brochu spent four plus seasons in the Ontario Hockey League. Brochu appeared in 239 total OHL games between Owen Sound and Guelph with 23 goals and 41 assists.
