Stingrays to Auction Red Jerseys on March 31; White and Blue Go Online

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, announced today that they will auction off their red alternate game-worn jerseys live after Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, March 31 against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. The home (white) game-worn jerseys will be sold online in the Stingrays Team Store at www.stingrayshockey.com starting Monday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. The away (navy) game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off online at a later date.

Fans will be able to purchase the home (white) game-worn jerseys online with prices ranging from $275-$350 and include fan favorites like forwards Matt Scherer, Pierre-Luc O'Brien and Trent Campbell, defensemen Zach Tarkir and Johann Kroll and goaltenders Philipp Grubauer and Daren Machesney. All home (white) jerseys will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

All three sets of jerseys will be signed by the players at the conclusion of the 2011-12 season. If a player is called up or injured, the Stingrays will do their best to have the jersey signed and delivered in a timely manner.

The Stingrays continue a three-game road trip tonight, Friday, March 2 against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:35 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center. Tuesday, March 6 is 2-for-1 Ticket Night with the Stingrays! Get two tickets for the price of one at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office and watch the Stingrays square off against the Trenton Titans at 7:05 p.m.!
