Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second straight game, the Kalamazoo Wings will head to the Germain Arena to battle the Florida Everblades. Kalamazoo defeated Florida on Wednesday 5-4 in a shootout. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-1-0-0 against the Everblades.
Snapping a three-game losing streak, the K-Wings also avoided their first losing month since November 2010 with the victory. With 69 points, Kalamazoo remains atop of the North Division, six points ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Despite the shootout setback, Florida remains unbeaten in regulation in their last six home games (4-0-1-1), With 60 points, Florida is in fourth place in the South Division and are tied with the Chicago Express for eighth place overall in the Eastern Conference.

Ending the Month Off Right
With their victory on Wednesday, the K-Wings avoided a losing month by finishing the month of February with a record of 7-6-0-2. Kalamazoo's last losing month was back in November 2010, when the team went 4-6-0-1.
Roster Move
Yesterday the K-Wings made a change to their roster. Kalamazoo waived defenseman John Kivisto.

Forward Nick Sirota is starting to heat up. Sirota starts the night on a four-game point streak.
Dishing it Out
Forward Trent Daavettila has dished out 45 assists this season. The 45 helpers places Daavettila tied for third with Elmira's Dustin Gazley for the most in the ECHL.
