BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster moves that affect the Shuckers roster prior to tonight's 7:05 p.m. series opener against the Birmingham Barons.

Tyler Wagner, RHP, optioned to Biloxi from Milwaukee (will not be added to active roster until he reports)

Manny Barreda, RHP, transferred from Brevard County to Biloxi (5/31) number will be assigned on arrival

Wirfin Obispo, RHP, transferred from Biloxi to Colorado Springs (5/31)

Wagner, 24, made his Major League debut on Sunday in Milwaukee, receiving a no decision in the Brewers' 7-6, 17-inning win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Miller Park. The Las Vegas native allowed five runs on nine hits over 3.2 innings while striking out two and walking just one during the debut. Wagner started nine games for the Shuckers before being promoted to Milwaukee on Friday. Wagner is 5-1 with the third-best ERA in the Southern League at 2.01. He has 38 strikeouts in 53.2 innings to just 15 walks.

Wagner was a fourth round draft pick (155th overall) in 2012 out of Utah. The right-handed pitcher led the Brewers' minor leagues in wins (13) and ERA (1.86) in 2014. Coming into 2015, Wagner boasted a career record of 24-18 with a 3.26 ERA in three seasons.

Barreda, 26, appeared in three games for Brevard Co. as a reliever, allowing no runs over four innings with three strikeouts and a walk. Barreda began the 2015 season with Tijuana of the Mexican League, appearing in three games and surrendering four runs over 2.1 innings. He was re-signed by the Brewers on May 21.

Barreda has appeared in over 211 games in eight professional seasons. He was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers as a minor league free agent in July of 2014 after being released by the New York Yankees. The Sahuarita, AZ native as originally drafted by the Yankees in 12th round of the 2007 draft. The right-handed pitcher is 10 games over .500 at 22-12 with a 3.62 ERA in 373.0 innings pitched.

Obispo, 30, is 0-3 with an 8.83 ERA over 17 games and 17.1 innings this season. Obispo was 5-for-5 in save opportunities. The Dominican Republic native was signed by Milwaukee to a minor league contract on Dec. 12, 2014 after spending the first 10 years of his professional career in the minors and Japanese baseball. He led the International League with 54 appearances in 2014, logging 63.2 innings and an ERA of 3.53. Over the course of his seven-year minor-league career, the right-handed pitcher has a 14-18 record with an ERA of 2.93 in 161 games (34 starts).

The Shuckers play game one of a five-game series with the Birmingham Barons tonight at Regions Field. LHP Hobbs Johnson (3-1, 2.81) will take the mound for the Shuckers against RHP Myles Jaye (2-3, 4.23).
